1. Accepting these terms
Spine is a place to keep and share your reading life. By creating an account or using the site, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use Spine.
2. Your account
You sign in with your Google account. You are responsible for activity that happens under your account, and you must be at least 13 years old to use Spine.
3. Your content
The quotes, notes, prompt answers, and other text you post are yours, and you are solely responsible for them. By posting, you confirm you have the right to share what you share, and you grant Spine a non-exclusive license to display it on the site as part of the service. Short quotations from books shared for commentary and appreciation are the spirit of Spine; do not post substantial portions of copyrighted works.
4. What you may not post
Content that is unlawful, harassing, hateful, threatening, pornographic, deceptive, or spam; other people's private information; or material that infringes someone else's rights.
5. Moderation
We may review, flag, and remove content that breaks these terms, and suspend or terminate accounts that repeatedly do so. We do not promise to monitor everything, and we are not responsible for what users post; content shared on Spine reflects its author, not Spine.
6. Copyright complaints
If you believe content on Spine infringes your copyright, contact us at hellospineapp@gmail.com with a description of the work and the location of the material, and we will review and, where appropriate, remove it.
7. The service
Spine is provided "as is", without warranties of any kind. Book information and covers come from third-party sources (such as Google Books) and may be inaccurate. We may change, pause, or discontinue features at any time. To the fullest extent permitted by law, Spine and its creator are not liable for any indirect or consequential losses arising from your use of the service.
8. Ending things
You can stop using Spine at any time. We may suspend or close accounts that violate these terms. We may update these terms; meaningful changes will be reflected in the date above, and continued use means acceptance.
